Farron is a selector driven by curiosity and a curator committed to community. Farron represents the kind of artist we love to champion: someone pushing local dance culture forward both behind the decks and beyond them.

Shaped by formative years spent on dance floors across Europe, Farron developed a deep affinity for house, techno, and the spaces that exist between them. What began as a personal connection to club culture has since evolved into Club Epoch, the queer-friendly event series he built from the ground up in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa (NZL), with the intention of creating something fresh for the city's dance music community.

As a DJ, Farron is less interested in staying within the boundaries of a single genre and more interested in the journey itself. His sets move fluidly between sounds, guided by feeling rather than expectation. Drawing influence from across decades of electronic music, he balances tension and release through hypnotic grooves, driving rhythms, nostalgic nods to the past, and unexpected turns. There is a constant push and pull between darker, deeper moments and those that simply feel good.

Asked about the story behind the recording, Farron shared:

"After a trip abroad I always come back inspired with new sounds and new styles of mixing. As soon as I unpack my suitcase back home I pull out the records I collected along the way, often one or more from each city I visit, and get stuck in. This mix opens and closes (technically the second to last track in the mix because I felt the sudden urge for one more track hehe) with the final track I heard in a stellar Kim Ann Foxman set at Panorama Bar in Berlin, as the daylight flashed through the shutters (iykyk). Cassiopeia is one of those songs that when you hear it for the first time, it stays with you for the rest of your life. For some reason I played both Nails' 2019 remix of the original 1993 track for the opener, and the incredibly beautiful Luca Lozano remix that I heard in Pano to close. It felt like the perfect way to bookend the set. It opens with a sense of optimism and drive and closes with a sense of comfort and warmth. The rest of the mix moves through genres with a nostalgic nod to the past. The journey pushes and pulls while blurring the lines between house, techno, 80s adjacent electro and breakbeat. Hypnotic grooves and dubbed out textures gradually give way to tougher percussion and higher energy rhythms towards the back end, with a few feel good guilty pleasures along the way, before eventually coming back down."

A thoughtful and deeply personal recording, this mix captures the excitement of discovery, the influence of travel, and the lasting impact of the dance floor experiences that continue to influence Farron's sound.
