Loaftboi is a DJ and selector blending the low-end weight of tech house with the skip and shuffle of UK garage, and whatever else feels right on the night. Born and raised in the city of Toronto, Canada, and proudly of Spanish and Jamaican descent, Loaftboi’s musical roots run deep.
The DJ journey kicked off spinning sets at university frat parties before visiting the city’s legendary venues to soak up the music and admire the legendary DJs who would frequent them. From The Guvernment to The Hoxton, and events like Electric Island, Digital Dreams and the Mad Decent Block Party.
It all started by playing steel pan in school. That early connection to rhythm opened a door that led through the raw energy of grime and into the rolling bass lines of UKG. The journey makes sense when you hear it.
For now, Loaftboi is honing the craft and perfecting the flow. But 2026 is the year to step out from behind closed doors and into the spotlight, bringing those sets to the rooms and ears they were always meant for.
Rooted in the belief that a good mix should feel effortless, the focus is always on feel over formula—sets that build naturally and keep things rolling without ever forcing it
About the mix: “With the weather finally looking up wanted to play some heat i've been listening to recently. Some Spring Pressure to feel the change of the season. A lil tech house, a lil UKG, and a lil in between.”
