Foundations #0010: DYLAN - THOMAS | AS DEAD AS DISCO *

Dylan Thomas is a Toronto-based DJ and producer steadily carving out his own path within the city’s underground scene. While many may recognise him as one half of the disco-loving Patchouli Brothers, Dylan’s individual sound leans further into exploration, moving through soul, boogie, gospel and the stranger corners of disco with warmth, curiosity and an unmistakable sense of groove.

A familiar name across Toronto’s nightlife circuit, Dylan has become a repeat invitation throughout Toronto Pride programming and celebrations each June, bringing the kind of energy that feels equally rooted in celebration, community and deep musical knowledge.

For this mix, Dylan describes it as “the many faces and facets of disco, from gospel to boogie and back around again.” A journey through shimmering rhythms, heartfelt vocals and dancefloor moments that feel equally suited for sunrise or the middle of a packed room, the mix captures disco not as a genre but as a feeling constantly changing shape.

One of the most beautiful things about music is the way it quietly brings people together across cities, festivals and fleeting moments. We first connected through a mutual friend of Fale FM, Arnie Wrong, someone deeply loved and well established within the London scene. Through shared admiration for Arnie and crossing paths at places like Wildwood Festival and Lost Village, conversations naturally unfolded into music, community and the kinds of connections that tend to linger long after the weekend ends.

We’re very excited to welcome Dylan Thomas onto Fale FM.
