FALE FM FOUNDATIONS #0001 - POPPA JAX “ GO OUTSIDE” *
Poppa Jax burst onto the DJ scene in 2022 and has been unstoppable ever since. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, and proudly of Māori descent, she’s become a standout force both at home and across the globe.
Known for her eclectic influences and deep love for Hip-Hop and Global Club sounds, Poppa Jax crafts dynamic, genre-blurring sets that take crowds on an unforgettable journey. Her reputation for high-energy, unpredictable, and emotionally charged performances has cemented her as a must-see DJ wherever she goes.
Dubbed “New Zealand’s Queen of the Club” by Complex AU, Poppa Jax is rapidly rising on the international stage. 2025 saw her play Glastonbury Festival, headline PXSSY PALACE in London, Jarreau Vandal’s VANDALIZED Block Party, BAILE WORLD, and being on line-up’s with household names like HAIVAI B, Lady Shaka, Sonia Sol & Pink Pantheress.
Now back in Aotearoa for the summer, Poppa Jax is bringing the energy of her global journey home. With AfroSoul Festival being her first set back, showcasing the sounds and artists she discovered while traveling. With Aotearoa as her grounding place, she’s focused on elevating the local scene, sharing global influences, and creating spaces where her community can thrive. Expect surprise pop-up shows throughout the season as she reconnects with home audiences.
From hosting her monthly club night, Poppa’s, to past residencies on George FM, Poppa Jax continues to push boundaries and redefine the sound of the next generation.
Poppa Jax is just getting started and she’s bringing the world back to New Zealand with her.
