NEXT RELEASE FROM ROBADUBS | SUNDAY 12PM EDT
Robadubs (Robert Gilford) is a London-based DJ and producer whose love for electronic music began when his older brother, Quaggsy, introduced him to Drum & Bass. Fittingly, Quaggsy also featured as Fale FM's sixth Foundations release.
Rooted in dub and reggae influences, Robadubs crafts weighty basslines, rolling rhythms, and hypnotic deep tech grooves. Having recently returned to music production, he is focused on bringing new material into the world, with plans to release his debut EP later this year.
Currently drawing inspiration from James Andrew, Hamish & Toby, Channel One Sound System, and Helly Larson, his sound reflects a deep appreciation for bass culture and the spaces where rhythm, community, and movement meet.
Describing this mix in his own words, Rob says it's "a blend of different energy fusing deep, dubby, techy and some exclusive tunes, hope you like it."
Last year was our first time stepping through the gates of Houghton Hall. Like many festivals, you arrive surrounded by strangers, unsure where you'll fit, awkwardly sussing each other out and wondering who everyone is. Somewhere amongst that beautiful uncertainty we met Rob and Quaggsy, alongside what we can only describe as one of the finest crews in the universe.
If you've ever found yourself at a festival with people you've never met before, don't be afraid of those first awkward moments. Give it time. Let it land. The thing we've learned is that eventually it all clicks. The conversations get deeper, the laughs get louder, and before you know it you've found your people.
Music has a way of doing that. It creates bonds between strangers that can last a weekend, a season, or even a lifetime.
We're incredibly pleased to welcome Robadubs to Fale FM.
